The car changes gear for you at the appropriate time, so you’ll rarely over-rev an automatic car; and although your fuel consumption may be slightly less economical than a manual car, overall it can make a worthwhile difference in the level of effort required when driving on longer journeys.
It also makes driving a lot less stressful as all you need to do is control the brake and the accelerator which give you so much more time to think about the road and other road users and not thinking about your clutch and gears. We often find this can also lead to you needing less overall driving lessons as you will pick up driving a lot quicker which can save you both time and money.

Intensive Driving Courses
We are also able to offer you a one week intensive driving course in Gillingham and the surrounding areas. These are sometimes also referred to as Crash Courses and these intensive courses can be an ideal way for you to reach the driving test standard sooner and be ready to take your driving test at an earlier date than you would with conventional weekly driving lessons.

These type of driving courses can be very tiring and require serious commitment from you. They may not be suitable for everyone and it is recommended that you have at least had a couple of driving lessons before considering a one week intensive driving course.
Before we can book your practical driving test or your intensive driving course you will need to have passed your theory test as we prefer to book your practical driving test for the last day of your intensive driving course as this proves to be better for you than having to wait for the driving test.

Under 17's Driving Lessons
If you are eager to learn to drive but you haven't turned 17 yet then you may be interested in our Under 17 Driving Lessons that are held once a month at Motcombe Turnpike Showground or The Royal Bath & West Showground.
These under 17 driving sessions have proved very popular and are a great way of getting a head start with your driving and have also been proven to help reduce road traffic accidents among 17 year old drivers that first attended under 17 driving sessions such as ours.
The Under 17's driving sessions are open to anyone aged 10+ that meet our minimum height of 4ft 8ins and are all one to one with qualified driving instructors using dual controlled cars.

B+E Trailer Lessons

The government are due to change the law on towing trailers in the UK from November 15th 2021 and you will no longer need to take a B+E driving test in order to tow a trailer up to 3,500kg MAM.
We are still able to offer you training and experience if you feel the need before you tow for the first time as its not as easy as it looks and can be very dangerous for inexperienced drivers.

We often find our team of instructors turning work away due to full diaries and there simply are not enough driving instructors available for the demand at the moment.
Our Instructor Training Courses are carried out in your local area on a one to one basis so you have the full attention of your assigned Instructor trainer. .
We can even offer self-employment franchised positions here with the driving school once you have qualified as and ADI. We may be able to also provide you with employment if you would prefer this option.

I have really enjoyed my intensive course with Lorraine she made me feel very in control and calm especially in the lead up to my test.
Lorraine really went above and beyond by not only preparing me for my test but just preparing me for driving anywhere by giving me the opportunity to go on the motorway to gain experience and so that I would not be scared to approach these roads in the future.
She was also always early and at my house at least 10 minutes before my lessons started which avoided causing more anxiety for me as I never had to wonder where she was or if she was going to be late.
