"Glenn gave me a refresher driving lesson two weeks ago. I was changing from a Focus Estate automatic to a little Kia Picanto with manual gear change.
Also, I hadn't driven beyond Shaftesbury since before lockdown. Suddenly I needed to 'be the driver' as my husband had suffered a stroke. As I am 76 years old, this was a challenge.
Glenn helped me to power on through the nerves and anxiety. All through the non-stop chit-chat he was directing my driving, and encouraging good practice. He noticed the two things I could still do well, which was to use my mirrors all the time, and change gears smoothly. This was a big boost to my morale, as there were many things I needed to re-learn. The review at the end of the lesson was serious and comprehensive.
As soon as I got home I wrote down the seven points I had to work on. I sumarised them, and put the summary in the car for reference.
Two weeks later I am driving a lot more confidently; I have been in 5th gear frequently, for example driving over to Salisbury, and got up to 50mph twice. I am delighted with my progress.

"I am an experienced driver mainly London roads but I had not driven for sometime and needed a refresher course as the roads and types of vehicles are different to what I was used to. There are far more vehicles on the roads and the technology of the vehicle has improved significantly for the better. I do like the reversing cameras ,no ignition key and instant handbrake. My driving instructor was very careful and a constant reminder of the roads lanes, roundabout and signals. The instructor gave me oodles of confidence and sat down with diagrams and videos. I do plan to drive again .i would recommend any person to use this company but especially mature folks. A refresher lesson can always be helpful as the traffic and vehicle change.
