Driving School Terms & Conditions

Coronavirus

Currently our team of driving instructors are still busy delivering driving lessons but this can change at any time and they will keep you informed of any problems.

Cancellation Policy. Due to the current situation with Coronavirus we have temporarily suspended our late cancellation policy. If you believe you are suffering from possible Coronavirus illness or you have recently been in contact with someone that has had to self isolate then please contact your instructor directly or you can call our customer services on 0333 7729642 or email us using the email button below. Your driving instructor will be wiping down their vehicle between each lesson with antibacterial wipes just to be on the safe side.

Due to the nature of this virus your driving instructor nor the driving school can not unfortunately refund you for any late cancelled driving lessons. However we will hold the lesson in credit for you until such a time that things return to normal.

If you have an intensive driving course booked with us, in the current circumstances, please try and give us as much notice as possible if you feel you need to cancel your intensive driving course. We will rearrange your intensive course as soon as the situation improves.

Unfortunately we can not control what the DVSA do regarding driving tests and they can cancel driving tests at short notice.

Please bare with us as we try and navigate these unprecedented time.

Any concerns, please get in touch.

Drink and Drugs

We have a zero tollerance of any pupil supsected of either drinking or taking drugs before a driving lesson.

If your driving instructor suspects you have been drinking, smoking or taking drugs then they will refuse to take you for your driving lessons or your course. Please be aware that some prescribed medication can also cause you problems when driving.

If your instructor cancels your lessons due to signs you have taken drugs or have been drinking, you will still be charged for the lesson or time that was booked.

Alchol and other substances such as Cannabis can greatly effect your concentration and ability to drive, this can put you and other road users at a higher risk of a road accident.

Terms and Conditions for our special offers and normal lessons.

OUR TRAINING VEHICLES & In-Car Cameras

Almost all of our driving school cars will have CCTV fitted to thw winscreen and rear window. These CCTV cameras are normally out facing to help protect both ourselves and you in the event of a road traffic accident. Some of the cameras may also be recording sound from inside the vehicle. If you have any concerns about this please speak to your driving instructor.

NEW DRIVING SCHOOL BOOKING POLICY

Its unfortunate but on several occasions new pupils have booked with our driving instructor only to cancel their driving lessons with very little notice and this had led to the instructor waiting around for an hour at a time or having to turn around and go home. This unfortunatly costs the instructor in the form of loss of income and unnecessary costs on some occasions travelling to the cancelled appointment.

Because of this we now ask for the first payment for all new customers to be made at the time of booking either over the phone, through our paypal account or by bank transfer. First payment will be for the time booked for the first lesson or the first 2hrs of a block booking. You can still pay for your block booking in full if you wish to do so.

Your booking will then be subject to our 24 hour cancellation policy, if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice your instructor will still need to be paid for his time unless we are able to fill the space with another customer. This means you will lose your deposit to the value of 2 hours.

If you contact us by phone 0333 7729642 or email [email protected] to cancel your driving lesson before the 24 hour deadline then we will be happy to refund you any money owed or simply rebook your lesson for another day.

Any questions regarding this policy please contact our offices on 0333 7729642

The contract is between you and the instructor monies paid to, not 2nd2none Driving School Ltd.

2nd2none Driving School Ltd act as an agent on behalf of the allocated driving instructor. We manage and book driving lessons on behalf of driving instructors.

Most of our driving instructors that we manage are self-employed and they are responsible for delivering your lessons and refunding any owed money. If after speaking to your instructor and our office is unable to help, then we recommend you contact the DVSA who are responsible for regulating driving instructors in the UK.

All Refunds of payments must be sought with in a 3 month period (90 Days) from your last lesson otherwise all remaining funds will be lost and void.

You are required to be in possession of a current, valid provisional driving licence. It is your responsibility to inform your instructor of any changes or endorsements to this. If upon your first driving lesson you can not produce a valid provisional driving licence the driving lesson will not take place. You will still be charged for the lesson.

In good daylight, you must be able to read a vehicle number plate from a distance of 20 metres (or from a distance of 20.5 metres for old style number plates). If you want to do your own number plate test, when walking down a street or in a car park, 20 metres is about 5 car lengths.

if you fail to provide your provisional driving licence or are unable to read the number plate from the required distance with or without eye glasses then you lesson will not be able to go ahead.
it will be at your instructors discretion whether you are charged for the lesson that was booked.

We are not responsible for practical test appointments which are cancelled by the D.S.A. nor are we responsible for driving tests that can not go ahead because the pupil has lost or misplaced their valid provisional on the day of the driving test. Full charges will apply if less than 24 hours notice is given.

We reserve the right to refuse the use of a car for practical tests, where the instructor, after an assessment lesson, feels that you have not reached a satisfactory standard or your instructor feels you are a danger to other road users. We maybe able to provide you with another instructor if time allows for an assessment if you think this the instructor has treated you unfairly in their decision.

If you change your pick up or drop off point without 24 hours notice, it may not be possible to give you a full hour lesson; a full hour will still be charged.

If you are late for a lesson, the lesson will still finish at the arranged time. Missed time will not be reallocated, nor will the lesson price be reduced. Please try and let your instructor know directly if you know you are going to be late as we may be able to help avoid lost lesson time.

You must ensure that you are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs whilst attending a lesson, “remember the night before”. Your instructor will refuse to teach you if they believe this to be the case and you will still be charged for the lesson. Please check labeling on all medication you are currently taking with regards to driving.
