Theory Test

Theory Test Class

Over the years as a driving instructor, I have come across many pupils who have struggled with their theory test, narrowly missing out on success by just a few points.

In the UK, you need to pass your theory test before you can book a practical driving test. For most drivers, the theory seems like common sense, but they might be surprised by some of the questions being asked.

See our example below that even I had to look up

An adult casualty isn't breathing. To maintain circulation, CPR should be given. What's the correct depth to press down on their chest?

The answer of course is 5 to 6 centimetres

Going by the above question, the answer might not be so obvious after all, and this is just one example of a theory test question that even threw me at first.

So our team of driving instructors has decided to create our very own theory test classroom. The sessions will be held on a Saturday or an evening in the week to fit around most people's availability. You will learn the following:

  • Alertness
  • Attitude
  • Essessntial Documents
  • Hazard Awareness
  • Incidents, Accidents and Emergencies
  • Motorway Rules
  • Other types of vehicles
  • Road and traffic signs
  • Rules of the road
  • Safety and your vehicle
  • Saftey margins
  • Vehicle handling
  • Vehicle loading
  • Vulnerable road users
